The Approach.

Lightweight and packable down parkas are known to be fragile and require extensive patching over time. For the Vision Down Parka, Black Diamond sourced a cutting-edge Japanese-made nylon shell fabric with liquid crystal polymer ripstop construction for enhanced tear-resistance without sacrificing weight and packability. The fit is generous without being bulky to accommodate a variety of layers that take the wearer from the sport climbing crag to the alpine climbing route. Climbing essential features such as a climbing helmet compatible hood, exterior chest pocket, two-way center-front zipper, and longer sleeves are balanced with a clean and streamlined design that keeps the parka versatile and approachable for cold weather camping and everyday wear.
