The Approach.

KUHL actively strives to offer its customers excellent value, so when creating The One Shell, the approach followed that of the successful Stretch Voyagr series: How could KUHL improve upon the category while remaining accessible? Conventional 3L rainwear is heavy and bulky, sweaty, stiff, static, loud, and generally something not worn until absolutely necessary. KUHL partnered closely with its mill to custom develop a material that’s lightweight and packable, breathable, soft, stretchy and quiet, making it an extremely versatile jacket that customers reach for even when it’s not raining. KUHL even went the extra mile to customize the colors of the jersey backer, where most competitors simply select a stock color. Hypalon cuff tabs and a unique low-profile pit zip construction maintain functionality without adding bulk.
